On February 24, 2024, St Aloysius College Higher Primary School in Mangaluru hosted a comprehensive cyber safety session titled “Stranger Danger: A Deep Dive into Social Media,” led by alumnus and engineering student, Sri Shravan. The session aimed to educate parents and students on the advantages and risks associated with social media usage. Topics covered included online predators, gaming safety, oversharing information, cyberstalking, phone addiction, cyberbullying, and digital parenting. Practical solutions such as digital detox, recognizing behavioral changes, and implementing parental controls were discussed to enhance online safety. The event, organized by the school’s Alumni Association, saw active participation from both parents and students, underscoring the community’s commitment to digital well-being. (Daijiworld)
